In this beginner metalsmith and jewelry making class, Chen Blume, a professional jewelry designer and owner of Chen Blume Studio, will teach you the basic skills required for creating your own metal jewelry! You will learn to shape and texture metals including brass and silver. You will also receive a demonstration of the basic tools necessary to saw, file, hammer, dap, and punch metal into your first jewelry pieces! After the initial instruction, Chen will work with you to design and produce a pair of hammered and shaped earrings, as well as a geometric stamped pendant necklace. You will leave with two elegant piece of handmade jewelry and a handout listing all of the tools and supplies needed to keep the metalsmith addiction going!
